Commissions.
I take commissions in moderation throughout the year. Custom crochet, watercolour paintings, and photography prints. Everything is made by hand, by me, from the studio. Here is how the process works for each type of work.

The most common commissions are blankets in custom colour palettes, shawls in specific yarns, and children's pieces as gifts. I also take occasional amigurumi commissions for small stuffed animals and characters.
Send an email describing what you'd like. Include any colour preferences, size requirements, and the occasion if there is one. I'll reply with a quote, an estimated timeline, and a few yarn options for you to choose from. For blankets, I'll send a small swatch in your chosen colours so you can see and feel the yarn before I commit to the full piece.
Once you approve the swatch and the quote, I ask for a 50% deposit. The balance is due when the piece is finished and before posting. Most blankets take 3-6 weeks depending on size. Smaller pieces (hats, scarves, amigurumi) are typically 1-2 weeks.
Prices include yarn costs and UK postage. Overseas postage is quoted separately.
The watercolour work leans toward botanical subjects and bird studies, but the most requested commissions are pet portraits. Dogs especially, though I've painted cats, horses, and one very distinguished rabbit.
Send 3-5 clear photographs of your subject. Outdoor shots in natural light work best. I'll sketch a rough composition, share it for approval, then paint the finished piece on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper. One round of minor adjustments is included (background tone, colour balance). The finished painting is sent flat in a stiffened mailer, unframed.
Framing is available as an add-on. I use a local framer in the area who does clean, simple work.
Turnaround is typically 2-4 weeks. Autumn is the busiest season for pet portrait commissions (people ordering for Christmas), so order early if you need one for the holidays.
Photography commissions are less common, but I do sell prints from the existing portfolio. The dog portraits, the swan series, and the landscape work are all available as archival prints in small editions.
All prints are on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm archival paper, printed locally. Editions are limited to 25 per image.
If you've seen a specific photograph on the site or on social media and want a print, email with a description or screenshot and I'll confirm availability and pricing.
For any commission enquiry, email is the way. Describe what you're after, include any reference images or colour preferences, and I'll reply within a few days with a quote and timeline.
